From the article: The Reader's Choice Awards 2010: Best IM
While we received over 5100 nominations for the 2010 Reader's Choice Awards Best IM category, not every IM client made it to be nominated for Best IM.
Which IM clients are missing that you feel ought to receiving some "Honorable Mentions"? Share your favorite IM clients that aren't nominated this year for the Best IM category, and why you feel they should have been included in this year's awards. Which IMs are Missing?

Yahoo
- Yahoo by far is the very best...I've never missed a message online or off..I can't believe Yahoo isn't nominated... Far better than anything else out there..I've used ICQ before, I've used MSN Messenger before, neither can top what Yahoo delivers...Yahoo stands by it's word and if ever there is a problem they are right on top of it getting it resolved. I wouldn't use any other program now other than Yahoo! Not only is the chat program reliable the email is nothing less than PERFECTION! Everything I do is through Yahoo because they are true to their word and to me that means everything!

Mig33 best 2010 IM
- As chat prowler :p i have tested many above IMs and finally i chose to use mig33 as a very cool mobile chat application, so my vote goes to mig33 and i wish that mig33 select as winner, according polling there is core competetion between IMs but mig33 is still on top..

Bogus
- ANY vote that doesn't include Yahoo Messenger as a choice, for whatever reason you come up with, is a bogus poll. It's that simple.

skewed results
- My Yahoo instant messenger just alerted me to vote for it in this. Certainly that skews the results tremendously in its favor.

It should be Yahoo Messenger
- I had previously been a predominantly MSN messenger user, have tried various clients in the past, icq, miranda, trillian, the google messenger etc. Recently switched onto yahoo and heck has it improved since the last time i had used it. In fact, it is now my favourite IM by far. Great interface design, only downside is it's a little sluggish to load at startup. But its much nicer to use than MSN which seems to be the defacto messenger for most people i know.

Yahoo IM
- Yahoo IM for PC should be listed! It has tons of features and is user friendly.

TENCECT QQ
- It comes in English and is full of great features. Easy to use remote desktop. Video call, games, music player, QQ space and email. Very popular in Asia. I think it has about 300 million users. QQ games are slowly integrating with facebook, tweeter, and other major social networks. If you like try new things give this a shot. QQ 516856561

Why Certain Clients Aren't Nominated
- After receiving over 5100 nominations, we tallied the results and the top five were placed as finalists for the final vote. While Meebo, eBuddy and Yahoo! are great clients (Yahoo and eBuddy ARE included in this year's finalists), they did not receive ENOUGH nominations to be included for all 8 categories in the BEST IMs. Maybe next year they'll be more involved in getting their users involved! IMs who promote the nominations process usually fair better in nominations and voting!
