What's Inside the Yahoo Chat Rooms
1. Chat Room Title
Located at the upper left-hand corner of the window, users can find the title of any Yahoo Chat room they open.
2. Actions
From the actions menu, Yahoo Chat Rooms users can locate a number of exciting features to share and connect with other Yahoo Chat users, including:
- Webcam. Click this icon to launch your webcam, to be shared in Yahoo Chat rooms and with other Yahoo Messenger users.
- Voice. Want to utilize the audio voice chat in Yahoo Chat rooms? Select this icon to see the voice chat bar inside of Yahoo Chat rooms.
- Send File. Want to share files and photos with a Yahoo Chat user? Click their Yahoo ID, and then click this icon to browse and send your files.
- Chat. Getting tired of your Yahoo Chat room? Click the Chat icon to open the Yahoo Chat Rooms directory.
3. Chat Room
This panel is where the action happens; any message sent into Yahoo Chat will appear here.
4. Chat Rooms Panel
From this menu, users can navigate between the different unique Yahoo chat rooms for each category.
5. Text/Emoticon Area
Want to personalize the Yahoo Chat experience? From this panel, users can add Yahoo emoticons, and change text to be bold, italicized, a different font or text color!
6.Text Field
Have something to say? Enter your messages into this text field, and hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard to send your message in Yahoo Chat rooms.
7. Chat Room Users
From this panel, users can browse the users currently using the Yahoo Chat room you are currently using.
8. Webcam Users
Users with a TV set icon next to their screenname indicate they have a live webcam connected. Webcams require permission to view on Yahoo Chat rooms.
9. Audio Users
Audio users are those with an icon of a Yahoo smiley with headphones next to their Yahoo ID. This conveys they are able to listen and respond using Yahoo Chat Rooms' audio settings.
