Why dotSyntax, LLC. is the Best IM Developer of 2011
Being number one isn't always easy. After an exciting leap to critical acclaim among technology bloggers (and About.com readers) in 2008, Team Digsby was challenged to up the ante in its sophomore and subsequent years.
Unfortunately, after a string of bad (and often misinformed) press regarding Digsby's efforts to monetize its development, it looked like lights out for the popular IM client.
But, ever steadfast in their desire to build a world-class product, the team dug its heels in, continuing to provide stellar customer service. This adherence to professionalism and a strong work ethic has resulted in fast bug fixes and new updates where other IM users are left waiting for a refresh, sometimes for years even.
Despite a little bad publicity (even from this writer, who stands corrected on all counts), Digsby was and remains one of the few IM clients still responsive to its users.
Unlike Yahoo Messenger, which allows such subpar features as Yahoo Chat to continue unabated and without fix, or AIM, which cannot be used on Windows 7 without freezing, the team at dotSyntax, LLC., actually seems to care about its users and their needs.
A quick glance at the Digsby blog reveals what I am talking about: problems go in, and solutions fly out on a regular basis. Like clockwork, the Digsby team sees what needs to be fixed, and they go about the work of correcting the issue.
