While the new Digsby IM client for Windows offers bug fixes and enhancements, there are a few new features of note that are of interest:
- Multiformatting: Digsby users can now format IM text on a per character basis, enabling users to introduce multi-color, bold, italics, underlined or multi-font messages within the Digsby client.
- Better To/From Operations: For Digsby users with multiple accounts, IM windows will no longer "pre-select or fall back to accounts that don't have that person on their budy list," according to Team Digsby.
- Status Tagging: Want to help promote Digsby? Users can now choose to include a link to Digsby at the end of your status message.
- Link Shortening Transition: While Digsby has used its own URL shortner in past versions, the new Digsby Build 77 will transition to bit.ly links.
New Digsby Includes Third-Party Software
Since its last release, Digsby now includes third-party software in its installer. Users who wish to opt out of Digsby Research Module and other third-party software may do so when installing Digsby.
