Chat for Charity with Windows Live Messenger

Since March 2007, Windows Live Messenger has given its instant messenger users the opportunity to do something good while they chat with friends and family.

The IM Initative allows Windows Live Messenger users to select a charity from a list of worthy causes to benefit from donation dollars amassed with every IM sent.

These charities include:

  • American Red Cross
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of America
  • Humane Society of the United States
  • National AIDS Fund
  • National MS Society
  • ninemillion.org
  • Sierra Club
  • StopGlobalWarming.org
  • Susan G. Komen for the Cure
  • and U.S. Fund for UNICEF

The IM Initative is a free program and requires only a brief amount of effort to achieve a broad amount of help. Ready to sign on to the IM Initative? Read on!
