Settings and Options for MySpaceIM

Whether you want to block MySpace contacts from sending you IMs to going invisible while signed in, your IM settings is where you can change options related to MySpaceIM.

To access the MySpaceIM settings, click the green MySpaceIM logo in the lower, right-hand corner. Then, start changing the settings to meet your needs:

Go Hidden on MySpaceIM

Need to hide from a MySpace contact while remaining available to chat with those you are already in a conversation with? Selecting the "Go Hidden" option will put your account in invisible mode.

Go Offline on MySpaceIM

Want to block all MySpaceIMs while you are signed in? Selecting the "Go Offline" option allows you to block all incoming IMs for the duration of your time on MySpace.

General IM Settings on MySpaceIM

In the General IM Settings section, users can edit how long they must be inactive to appear as idle, and to play sounds when you receive an IM or when a MySpace contact signs in.

IM Privacy on MySpaceIM

With IM Privacy, MySpace users can select who they are available to IM with, including everyone on the MySpace network, all of your IM and MySpace friends, and only those you specify as MySpaceIM friends.

Customizing MySpaceIM Friends

Want to add MySpace friends to your MySpaceIM contact list? This setting will let you browse through current friends and add them for chat.

Editing Your MySpaceIM Block List

Need to take contacts off your MySpaceIM block list? This feature helps you edit entries onto your blocked IM list.

Disabling MySpaceIM

Want to get rid of MySpaceIM completely? Click "Disable IM" at the bottom of the IM Settings to prevent MySpaceIM from signing in.
