The Bottom Line: Beejive for iPhone
Once upon a time, Beejive was the go-to app for IM on iPhone. Yet, following its latest update on July 5, 2010, Beejive is dead on arrival. Until further notice, I would not recommend Beejive in its current state, which included frustrating lag in efficiency and consistent glitches including black screens, difficulty in connecting and errors.Previously, Beejive offered an extremely powerful, versatile and exciting IM client; the interface is the best of any IM client on the iPhone, and its ease of use made it a phenomenal success among users. Even the most green IM users on iPhone would find its simplicity refreshing.
Yet, the recent problems now pervert Beejive's once untarnished image, in my opinion. If you are able to get through to a customer service representative, chances are good that the answer is not going to be sufficient. I was told that Beejive apologized for the problems, but was promised that the company was working on troubleshooting these issues.
In the meantime, I am out ten bucks and am searching for a new iPhone IM!
