The venerable AIM for Mac is back with a brand-new version of their popular instant messaging software, featuring a fun new buddy list interface, two styles of IM windows to choose from, plus the most social media integration on AIM ever, with access to your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and email accounts all from one program.

How to Download AIM for Mac 1.0
Follow these easy steps to get started with your own copy of the IM software:

1. Open your web browser.
2. Point your web browser to the AIM for Mac website.
3. Click the orange "Sign up" button and follow the prompts if you do not have your own free account yet, otherwise;
4. Click the gray "Download AIM for Mac" button to continue your download.
5. Press "Keep" if your browser delivers a dialogue box asking if you wish to keep the file "AIM_Install.dmg."
6. Locate and double-click the file to launch the installer.

How to Create a Free AIM for Mac Account
If you do not have a screen name for this IM client yet, you should follow the above instructions through step 3, and mind these directions and tips below:

• Enter the appropriate text in their fields provided.
• You have the option of creating either a free account using your email address as your login or to create a screen name. To enable the latter option, click the "Or create a username" link under the email field.
• Click the blue "Sign Up" button to continue. You will then be prompted to download the client software.
