After months of waiting, the developers at Digsby have released “Build 32,” hailed among client users as the update we have all been waiting for.

Following a quick download and thorough examination of the updated IM, I am pleased to give my full endorsement once again to the client About.com readers hailed as the best third-party IM of 2008.

In addition to a significant reduction in the amount of RAM needed to operate, the multi-protocol IM and Internet lifestyle client just got better with a number of great additions, including:

  • Improved efficiency in loading Digsby’s graphic interface
  • Better connectivity through automatic testing of multiple connection methods
  • Solutions to hundreds of bugs reported since the last release
  • Support for Linked-In professional social network, in addition to MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.

Digsby requires Windows 98 and above, 15.25MB hard drive space for the client installer.
