How to Use Grindr on Your PC

By July 31, 2012

Follow me on:

Is there any way for me to use the app Grindr on my computer? I would love to be able to use it while I'm at work without drawing too much attention like being on my iPhone would. -- Stu, Hollywood, Fla.

A: Unfortunately, there are no plans on providing PC-based access to your Grindr account. While some have suggested installing a virtualization, like BlueStacks (for Android apps), can allow you to use Grindr on a computer, many report difficulty in getting the emulator to work properly. As far as an iOS emulator is concerned, there isn't one available which will do what you hope to accomplish.

Ultimately, alas, the only way to use Grindr is on your iPhone or Android device.

We’ve created a new gay social web app that’s very similar, except that we’re 100% free, available on almost all devices, and we don’t censor profiles or pictures, so you can type and upload any picture you want!

You can use it on your PC, Mac, Linux box, Android, iPhone, Blackberry etc. Give us a try! Closer men at closur.com

Perhaps you could rephrase the article title so that it isn’t so misleading then.

I searched on google and this came up as a way to use grindr on your PC.

Seriously, about.com! Do you really need the traffic that badly for your advertising revenue to place bulls##T bogus headlines to your articles/discussion pages?

This is a completely misleading article, the author, Brandon De Hoyos and your site are very close to using bait and switch tactics and untruthful advertising.

There is nothing here that tells me what the title states “How to Use Grindr on Your PC”.

This should be re-titled or taken off completely.

I expect more from about.com.

I will think twice before clicking on an about.com article, with such misleading information.
