MSN Web Messenger Closes Tuesday

This weekend, Microsoft announced they will pull the plug on MSN Web Messenger on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, leaving the industry with one less web-based IM.

MSN Web Messenger users should not fret, however; users can now sign in to Windows Live Hotmail and continue IMing with all their MSN Web Messenger contacts with the added convenience of being near your mail.

For an IM-specific replacement, I suggest users download Windows Live Messenger 2009.
