Which instant messenger is the best?
One of the most frequently asked questions to our Reader's Mailbag just so happens to be which instant messenger ranks better, performs faster, offers more of such and such and outranks all IMs overall. I have answered this question a few times, before, and now it's your turn!

Nominate Your Top IMs. In April, IM on About will announce our selections for the 2008 IM Best Awards, our selections for the best instant messengers of the year. But, we need your help in choosing the nominees for the following categories:

• Best Instant Messenger Experience, measuring overall user experience
• Most Improved Instant Messenger, based on back-to-back client releases
• Best Mac Instant Messenger, based on overall user experience
• Best Third-Party IM
• Best IM Feature
• and Best IM Developer(s) of the Year.

All interested parties can e-mail their nominations to im.guide@about.com. But hurry! The call for nominee consideration will end Friday, March 28 at noon EST.
